Hockey Discussion
Was it a right move to let the NHL players to go to play in Russia? By the way, the 2020 Summer Olympics is in Japan now!

Re: Hockey Discussion
Definitely a right move.
Also, if you're talking about other Olympics, please post if in a different topic.

Re: Hockey Discussion
Corey Crawford should.
Mike Smith should be the back-up.
Braden Holtby the third goalie.

Re: Hockey Discussion
I know right.
Crawford and Smith are the two best goalies in Canada.
They only invited Luongo ( ), Carey Price and Holtby after that...

Re: Hockey Discussion
I still don't get why Marleau was picked instead of Thornton, Giroux and James Neal. Also Seabrook should have been on the team!

Re: Hockey Discussion
There was a mistake on tumblr.
Marcus Johansson will replace Sedin, not Backlund.
Also, it should've been Neal, St. Louis, Giroux and Thornton, not Kunitz, Carter, Nash and Marleau.
Then Seguin should've replaced Stamkos since St. Louis would already be on the team.

Re: Hockey Discussion
Well, Canada is probably have the best offence and defense but the we're probably 5th or more in the goaltending. You never know, if the offence is shut down, then your goalie has to step up, which I don't see them doing with Luongo. USA, Russia, Finland, Switzerland, Sweden and Slovakia have better goaltending then Canada.

Re: Hockey Discussion
Well, the Swiss have Jonas Hiller, not anyone known after him.
Their best option would have been Bernier, Fleury, Scrivens/Elliott.
Finland has the best no doubt.
Tuuka Raak, Antti Niemi and Kari Lehtonen.
The US took a risk not putting Ben Bishop on their roster.
Miller hasn't been too impresive, Quick has been plagued by injuries and Howard, well has been not your top goaltender.

Re: Hockey Discussion
Fleury should have been on the team instead of Smith, Smith has such a bad save percentage and goals against average, I don't know why team Canada picked them. Sweeds have King Henrik, Slovakia has Halak, and Russia has a bunch of goalies that are really solid. If you were to put Seabrook in, who would you take out on the d?

Re: Hockey Discussion
Alex Pieterangelo.
Russia's goalies are Sergei Bobrovsky, Semyon Varlamov and Alexander Yeryomenko.

Canada in women's hockey beat the U.S 3-2 and by doing that, won the division.
