Which player do you think will be sent down when all of our injured players are back? Their has been rumors that Alex Anthopoulos will not be trading Josh Johnson. Should we keep him or trade him?

Re: Josh Johnson
In my opinion, try to send him down.
Trading won't get us anything better than the 1st-round draft pick we'd get next hear of he doesn't re-sign.
But we can't keep him up so send him down if they can.

Re: Josh Johnson
Right there Sand.
Johnson right now is not worth a player in the Gulf Coast League.
He looked really well in spring training but has failed to achieve what he did.
He is a big set for the teams this year.

Re: Josh Johnson
But we paid so much money for him to be good! We can't really send him down because he isn't like Ricky Romero. Johnson always gives up so many runs in the first few innings. He has to relax and play how he plays after those bad innings. We can resign him to a 1year deal same price but if we can trade him for something really good like trading for a solid second baseman and other prospect, I would consider the trade but its just 1 bad year. I have a feeling that he is injured but he isn't saying it. Happ is coming up and you can't send down Redmond the way he is pitching and Esmil Rogers would have to go back to the bullpen but then who would you have to send down! I would give him 3 more starts at most but if he pitches bad for all those starts, I would send him down for and let him pitch down there for a few games until he feels that he is ready to come back up. But when he comes up, how will he replace? Morrow is probably out for the whole season and we need more starting pitchers. The only problem Johnson is having this year is that he keeps bringing the fastball and other pitches up in the zone so they can hit it out of the ballpark. If he brings his pitches down in the zone, he will do fine because he has gotten the run support for sure. This his first season with an ERA over 4! This season, he has gave up the most homeruns in his career and the season isn't over. The good thing is that he hasn't gave up many walks and he has a strikeout per inning so far this season. Josh Johnson must rebound from the many bad starts that he had and maybe become someone valuable in the offseason so the Jays can get something out of him. We could try to send him down once Happ is ready to come up but only if Johnson is playing bad, because if he is playing lights out, its worth a shot to let him to keep pitching and let Happ to rest more and be ready for other options.

Re: Josh Johnson
Johnson or Rogers must be replaced by Happ even though Gibbins said he wouldn't move those two.
They could try trading him and Romero or Storey for a young starter or an infielder.
Redmond is pitching too well to move. Johnson just gets paid way too much, after Want was sent down after two bad starts, Johnson has pitched 7 bad starts, he should be gone by now.
They have available starters in the minors with Chad Jenkins, Claudio Vargas and Chien-Ming Wang.
As for Deck McGuire, Marcus Stroman and Sean Nolin, it's too early to call them up.
Johnson cannot pitch in the MLB like this.

Re: Josh Johnson
I agree with you. The only problem is that no one wants Romero. Alex Anthopoulus should already be trading Johnson for someone, he is being paid too much but there has no good performance. Rogers hasn't got a win in 7 starts too but who would you send down? Johnson or Rogers?

Re: Josh Johnson
Johnson.
Rogers can do well in the bullpen.
Happ for Johnson.
Johnson goes to minors.
Hutchison should get a starting spot, Rogers and Drabek and Perez when they get back go to the bullpen.
In September Neil Wagner, Kyle Drabek, Esmil Rogers, Luis Pérez, Thad Weber, Brad Lincoln, Michael Schwimer, Chad Jenkins and probably Tommy Hottovy or. Sean Nolin shoud be added to the bullpen.
Hutchison should be in the rotation.

Re: Josh Johnson
But in September, who will be down in the minors since you are bringing in so many young guys to the bullpen?

Re: Josh Johnson
The one guy I really want to see in September, is Luis Perez. He was such a good pitcher in the bullpen until he needed Tommy John surgery.

Re: Josh Johnson
Man what is going on! Johnson gave up 7 runs, 6 earned, 10 hits, 2 walks, only 1 strikeout, in just 2 and a 3rd of a inning! When he was out of the game, he left the bases loaded! Luckily Perez struck out Trout and Hamilton to minimize further damage! Again, he let up 4 runs in the first inning!

Re: Josh Johnson
He's got to be moved.
I mean look at Barry Zito.
A guy just like Johnson and he was just moved to the bullpen, Johnson has been worse than him!

Re: Josh Johnson
Now you move Redmond! Johnson should be sent down, not Redmond! Johnson must have lost his confidence to pitch this badly.
